The mornings are often hectic and a healthy meal can easily go by the wayside (i.e. refined carbohydrates). So plan ahead with these easy and delicious smoothies. It’s a great way to pack fruits and veggies into your family’s diet, even on the sly. You can add whatever you like to create a base for your smoothie, freeze it in a muffin pan, and then store in the freezer until ready to use (in BPA free freezer bags, these can be reused as well). When you are ready to serve, add a few frozen smoothie muffins to the blender and a liquid (almond milk, organic juice, etc.) and breakfast is served. The kids can even manage to this themselves. Below are some of our favorite recipes we found online that are super healthy and packed with antioxidants.
